Dr. Parichita Saha was born and brought up in West Bengal, India. Driven by her passion for chemistry, she pursued her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and her master’s degree from University of Hyderabad. She later earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where her research focused on the synthesis of peptide-based ion transporters.
Combining her scientific expertise with a passion for effective communication, Dr. Saha has supported numerous researchers in refining and publishing their work in prestigious peer-reviewed journals. Her professional journey in scientific publishing has been driven by a strong commitment to advancing science and bridging the gap between scientific research and effective communication.
Currently, she serves as a Scientific Editor at Elsevier, where she manages the peer review process, from submission to final decision, for the Microchemical Journal. She also plays a key role in assisting authors in identifying suitable alternative journals for manuscripts rejected during the editorial process.
